About Me | Alissa Brimeyer
Hi! I'm Alissa (she/her/hers), and I am driven by a deep passion for learning, exploring, and connecting with the great outdoors, animals, and people alike. Advocating for these passions is what keeps me going, both personally and professionally.
Growing up in Iowa, I've always been fascinated by people and what makes them tick. This curiosity led me to the world of arts, where I found a way to explore and express myself. Eventually, it led me to pursue a graphic design degree at the University of Northern Iowa.
During my college years, I became intrigued by the overlap between advocating for others and working within new technologies. So, I embarked on a journey to delve deeper into the world of UX Design, pursuing a master’s degree at the Maryland Institute College of Art. There, I found a community of kindred spirits and soaked up as much knowledge as I could.
These experiences have taken me on a diverse journey of working with various clients, each adding to my wealth of knowledge and pushing my curiosity even further while teaching me that there is always more to learn. From volunteering with non-profits to crafting digital marketing strategies for construction firms and designing websites for local businesses, I've embraced every opportunity to learn and grow.
Looking ahead, I'm committed to furthering my work in empathy and inclusivity by expanding my skill set and exploring new fields. I seek to infuse my design approach with my passion for the outdoors, animals, and humanity, advocating for a more sustainable and compassionate world.
Outside of work, you'll often find me out and about in nature. Whether it's hiking, kayaking, or simply spending quality time with my three dogs by the river, these outdoor adventures rejuvenate me and fuel my creativity.
If you share a passion for impactful, user-centered design, I'd love to connect! You can find me on LinkedIn, email me at alibrim@gmail.com, or check out my portfolio for more of my work.
Let's collaborate and make a difference together!
